Goodbye Livejournal. [25 Aug 2006|06:20pm]
[ music | Band Of Horses- Part One ]

Hey everyone.

After a couple years here and even more years at deadjournal. I've decided to officially close this journal. I've been gone and back so many times and this time I've decided to leave for a number of reasons.

Number One, I just feel like I grew out of this journal and a lot of the stuff over the past years, I feel like I've simply grew out of.

Number Two, I guess it relates to number one. I don't think I really portray myself well in this one. I'm never good with words, but I think I'll have better luck elsewhere.

Number Three, I want to incorporate more Photography on this journal and it really doesn't seem like the place. BUT here is the good news. I'm going to start a brand new blog at Blogger. I haven't set anything up yet and I will update further when I do. It was include, my top summer pictures, warped tour photos and so much more from here on out. If you are a friend of mine, there's a huge chance you'll see a picture of you on it. I'm uploading nearly 50 photos of my fun times this summer, so be sure to follow.

Number Four, I just feel like doing it.

For all my friends I've made here and at LJ, don't fret, I'll be around. I'm online 24/7 my screen name is "lloydering 0" add me there and we can talk pretty much all hours.

I will post more when I get the link to my new blog and everything is set up. Stay tuned.

A Sad Day.. [24 Aug 2006|01:34pm]
[ music | Heavens- Watching You ]

After a tumultuous week of clashing over the essence of the cosmos, the International Astronomical Union stripped Pluto of the planetary status it has held since its discovery in 1930. The new definition of what is -- and isn't -- a planet fills a centuries-old black hole for scientists who have labored since Copernicus without one.

I knew this day would come..

Some stuff to look forward to hearing/seeing. [22 Aug 2006|12:26pm]
[ music | Alkaline Trio- She Took Him To The Lake (acoustic) ]

Damn. I should of slept longer. I was up until quarter to 6 last night, just eating and reading. I guess I have all day to catch up.

I've got to recommend a book to everyone that I just finished. The Messiah Of Morris Avenue by Ton Hendra. In a nut shell, this book is about America of the future where the Church is the State and how everything is extremely fundamentalist and things like that. The main character Jay claims that he's the second coming of Jesus Christ and everyone believes him and he "heals" people and stuff. The entire story is told from a journalists point of you. It's real interesting and was a good easy read.

Well I'm talking about stuff you should buy. One of my Top 5 Most Anticapted CDs for 2006 is released today. Cursive's Happy Hollow. It's a lot different then The Ugly Organ and previous releases. Less cello, more anti-christianity lyrics, plus they added a pretty neat horn section.

I think Outkast's cd new hits stores today, correct me if I'm wrong the movie to go with it hits theates Friday.

My next question, who all saw Snakes On Plane? I guess tell me how it was, though you probably think it was golden cause this is one of those movies you "gotta" like or you'll be shunned by many internet browsing teenagers. So try not to be bias.

Yesterday, I was at Ryan's and we were listening to The Subways and rockin' out (aka jumping around.) and I put my hand in the fan and a blue spark appeared and now today, every light fixture on the top floor doesn't work.

Today, I was listening to some music loud, since I was home alone, and I blew my speakers out.

I def get a gold star for this week.

That's my cat and me. Who's your favorite?

Tonight marks the end of The International Village and I guess I'll be heading over there tonight. I didn't go at all last year and I heard the fireworks were incredible so I'm not gonna miss them this time.

Kate and Alex should be here in a few hours, I guess all three of us will go and get some food and then watch them. On Saturday, it looks like I'll be heading back up there to go to Kane Hospital. Err..that place gives me the creeps. I used to go up there kinda often and it was scary as shit even if someone was there. Kate and Alex would go run off and smoke cigarettes in the hospital beds while Kari and I would scream and run and scream and then run more. Damn, I hope they don't leave me by myself, since it's only the three of us now.. For all of you who don't know what Kane Hospital is, it's basically and old hospital that was built undeground back in the woods in Cranberry. There is two stories below ground and one story above. You may have seen it on MTV's Fear. It's scary as hell and I don't know why I agree to go in it, but I do, and will.

After this hang out session, I won't see them until next summer.. Which really sad and I'm gonna miss them more then I did when I went back to school last summer. They've really earned a piece of my heart. I love all my friends, I have to say, each one really means a lot to me, there are some friends I don't see a lot, or we never get a chance to hang, and they mean a lot as well.

End of Summer update soon.

P.S. I didn't forget about posting pictures from both parties at my dad's house and Warped Tour Photos.

P.P.S. Placebo is touring the U.S. with She Wants Revenge.

The Champion Of The Yard [12 Aug 2006|10:59pm]
[ music | The Subways- With You ]

Gus-Guss, my cat, has never harmed a flea. He is the most pleasant being on the earth and to top it off he's orange, fluffy and adorable. Everyone always thinks they have the best pet, but I truly believe that I do.Since Frisco passed away, Gus-Guss has been lonely and a bit sad. So, collectively we bought him a bird feeder and he started to watch the birds. Little by little his pep and spunk returned to him.

About a month ago the neighbors' cat, Clarice began to hide in our yard in the bush and jump out and attack/eat the birds at the feeder. Gus became sad once again that his birds weren't come, and then became angry at Clarice for eating all of them.

This afternoon Gus was by the door and he was crying as if he wanted to go outside. So I didn't tbink anything of it, and opened it. When I did the neighbors cat' was in my yard sitting on my steps. Gus darted after her, chasing her up the block and tackling her. Once on top of her he began swatting her head. I quickly ran to pick them apart, as I did Gus continued to beat up the other cat. When I picked him up, he still glared at her as I carried him back to my house. I looked back and the other cat was uninjured, just layed there in total shock and amazement. I took Gus inside and as soon as I put him down, he was yelling he wanted back out to go for Round 2.

He has never sat in my front window watching the bird feeder more proud. And Clarice? She'll never be seen around these parts again.

Music + Me = Friends Forever. [11 Aug 2006|10:15pm]
[ music | Snow Patrol- Shut Your Eyes ]

I love music.

There is so much music out there that I can get into and so many stories, to me, tell of my true life and true feelings. Everyone has their favorite styles and sounds, and I do as well, but there is just so much out there I want to hear and I want to experience. 90% of what I listen to, I really like. The only genre I've hated on, on a regular basis was country. But guess what? I even like that stuff now thanks to Kate. Hah.

I dunno the point of this babble, but bottomline if you are having a bad day, week, month, year, you just need music, it's the most powerful thing out there right now.

Days and Nights [11 Aug 2006|01:57am]
[ music | Isis- Altered Course ]

The days are set up incredibly well.

In the morning, the sky is lighter then the evening and it wakes everyone up early (or 2pm like me, but nevertheless.) Everyone goes to their jobs or their schools, gets a cup of coffee, bacon and eggs and is on their way. The day starts and everything is alive. Cars, trucks, buses, bikes, scooters, legs, everything. Everyone is doing what they need to do to get by.

In the night time, the sky becomes darker, everyone starts to rest and relax, they come home, read the paper, eat a meal and just chill out. They turn on the TV and eventually nod off to sleep. Midnight hits and that kid that dances along highways comes out and creeps out everyone.

(unless you work night shift, thus screwing up seeing your family/friends, which makes you hate your life.

The days and nights are just so cool to me and how life has adapted to it is even cooler. I wonder who the first person was that made money, that made bacon and eggs, that made theirself (their self ??) a living, I wonder who was in the first "family."

As for me, I've learned to love both. I used to be more of an afternoon person but over the past year or so, I'm kinda into the night time. Everything is calm and quiet, and there is peace about everything. My sleeping patterns are messed up and I take random naps through out the day but I think it's well worth being a lone and quiet at night. Just sitting back, listening to music, writing or reading or anything.

P.S. Ladies and gentleman, Todd needs a cell phone. I never thought I'd say it but I do. We don't have long distance so calling anyone in Cranberry is not happening, plus I'm always who knows where and people need to know. Any recommendations in what phone I need? Also, how do I work the skinnier ones, cause my dad wants me to get one of those.

P.P.S. Mike has a myspace.

My cat is popular. [08 Aug 2006|09:37pm]
[ music | Cursive- Bad Sects ]

This afternoon, this girl stopped her car and ask if she could see my cat. I've never seen her before in my life but apparently she knew Gus-Guss. Confused, my mom brought him out and she pet him for nearly an hour. She had black and purple hair and she said her name was Raven. After making Gus happy for an hour, she decided to leave. She went back in her car and drove off.

::shrugs:: Lol.

Stick and stones may break my bones but tanks will never hurt me. [07 Aug 2006|03:40am]
[ music | Heavens- Heather ]

I just watched the first 14 episodes of X-Men The Animated Series, that show can be addicting.

My party was insanely fun, pictures later and possibly one or two funny paragraphs about it. Look forward to that.

I'm entirely to itchy, I hate mosquitos, I hate'em. I took a walk around, umm, I dunno, 8 or 9 tonight to Co Go's to get some gummy worms and iced tea. Half way there I got to hot, so I took my shirt off. It was all good until my walk home, I passed under a tree. I rounded the corner and under a street light and I noticed I had a bug on me and hit it away. Enough was enough and I put my shirt back on and arrived inside. I took my shirt back off cause my house is never cold enough, and I noticed I have six or seven bites scattered across the top part of my torso. Some weirdass mosquito hideout had to be in that tree. That's what I hate about mosquitos the most I think, that their bites don't hurt. You never know when one is crawling on you and having it's way with your blood supply. Eww, just thinking of them makes me cringe.

What else? Ohh, Dean is planning a party at his house. That's pretty cool. He's gotta be one of the most fun kids I know. I think I'll sway your judgement when I post those pictures of my party. He didn't set a date yet, but it's before the end of August.

When Summer ends, the job hunt starts again. I've not had a job and money is hard for that reason. The semester off will be awesome. School in Winter will be awesome. It feels so good to just hang out and do things I wanna, I don't wanna go all the way out to Robinson just do something I could do on my own time. PTI, you've got nothing on me. Sure, we were cool. Sure, you offered a great program. Sure, I'm not driving that far to hang with you and I don't wanna leave this town and live with you. If I had a checklist, I'd X you out of future plans. As for the winter, ITT you seem very cool. This is your chance to be my future, don't be uncool.

Since I'm up all the time at this hour, I should probably update even more then I have been. Is there anything else I should add before I post this entry? Hmm. I guess nothing. Time to relax.

I gotta hop on a Greyhound down by the jail in Pittsburgh sometime soon. I taking bus trips to random cities/places, I wonder where I go with 32 bucks. I'm sure I can go somewhere and back for that price..if it's only for the day. Good music, camera, maybe pack a hoagie or something. Maybe a canteen(sp?) of some soup. Being on a bus with huge windows traveling around with strangers, stopping at random places, has to be one of the most fun/interesting things I've experienced.

Warped Tour Review Part 1 [28 Jul 2006|07:10pm]
[ music | Saves The Day- Bones ]

I woke up at 6:30am by the sound of my sisters' she layed on the ground next to me, so I could get up. The beat of Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes never sounded so sweet. I woke up and breathed in the air and exhaled. Warped Tour 2006 was here. I've been going to Warped Tour since 2000. This would be my sixth Warped Tour and I was excited to say the least.

8:00am my ride arrived. I was gonna go with my sister's friend Scott, a mini car pool I guessed you'd say. We arrived at The Post Gazette Pavilion in Scranton, PA around 9:20am. We pulled into the road by the sign and headed down. A line of cars, which included us we're stopped. A worker wearing a yellow shirt came to our window and said they weren't letting cars into the parking lot until 10:00am and we'd have to leave. Bewildered, we made a u-turn and we had no idea where to go. Cars were everywhere and everyone seemed a bit confused. We drove down further on the same road, we past maybe teenagers sitting on the top of their cars in little alley ways, or little road side spots their cars could fit, just anywhere. Finally, we turned back around and headed for a parking lot we passed just a bit over a mile away from The Post Gazetter Pavilion. On the way back, we saw two cars on the side of the road, they had a minor bumper to bumper accident. Regardless of the injuries, it's so sad to see so many people wrecks on the way to Warped Tour every year. I can't stress enough enough it's important to obey speed limit signs and pay attention to what's going on around you.

When 10:00am hit we were already back. The line was not long when we got their to get in, and before we did that, a few bands played outside. I got to watch the always immature Hope On A Rope played, but over the years I've made friend with bass player Chris, so it's good to see him doing what he likes. I snuck to the side and I picked up a schedule. The lady at the desk said there was only 20 so I could only take on. I was real happy because I could write down in the notebook I brought the times of everyone sets that day, before everyone else could. For the most part, all the bands I wanted to see, I saw. I missed The Pink Spiders, which hurt my feelings enough that I put a sadface next to their name on the schedule. I got patted down and of course they found my camera in my bag. They asked if me the lense was detachable, it was, but I played dumb. "No, I don't think so. You can try taking it off." The lady checking me couldn't and it looked like I was getting in scott free BUT a girl entering before me turned back around and said "I have that camera, you can take the lense off." I looked at her and through my arms in the air as if saying "Wtf mate?" but luckily the lady still couldn't take the lense off so she let me in with it. Every time I took a photo through out the day, someone approached me and asked me the same question. I told them the lense couldn't come off and they said nothing after that. They were always real polite and I felt bad lying to them, but it had to be done. This is what I wrote in my notebook to keep track on the going ons.

"Jack In A Box - Saves The Day 11:30-12:00
Teddy Bear - Against Me! 12:00-12:30
Jack In A Box - Thursday 12:30-1:10
Jack In A Box - underOATH 1:40-2:10
Vagrant - From Autumn To Ashes 2:45-3:15
Vagrant - Saves The Day (acoustic set) 3:45-4:15
EATS! :) - 4:25 yum, yum, yum.
Hurley - Every Time I Die 5:10-5:45
Volcom - Gym Class Heroes 6:15-6:45
7:00 - 9:00 Find New Bands. :)

Missing.
The Pink Spiders :( "

I quickly ran to The Jack In Box Stage and relieved to know I was the first person there. I saw a bunch of secruity guards from Mr. Smalls and we chatted about a half hour. Little by little the crowds came. I got an energy drink for free at a booth and I quickly guzzled it before I was to smashed in to get it. 11:30 hit and I was excited and gitty as hell. Chris Conley and Saves The Day entered the stage. I haven't seen them in nearly three years and I felt awesome just to be there. The last time I saw Chris, he was an awkward skinny as hell looking boy with dorky glasses and a short hair cut. Chris grew into a man..as well did his belly. Random patches of facial hair, dyed bright pink hair, a relatively big gut, it was cool to see he finally grew into himself. I pulled out my notebook and wrote down their set. Though it was the first band I saw through out the day, they were the best.

1. Head For The Hills
2. As Your Ghost Takes Flight
3. Shattered
4. Rock Tonic Juice Magic
5. All Star Me
6. Say You'll Never Leave
7. Eulogy
8. At Your Funeral
9. The End
10. ??? (I wrote down three words and I can't read them. I must have been excited)
11. Firefly

At the end of the set, Chris threw a pick my way and I got it. It was yellow and had the words "Saves The Day" on it. I was really excited to get it. I got some decent pictures because the crowd stood still. Seeing as though Jesse's birthday was in a couple days, I gave the pick to him later on in the day.

Warped Tour was a long day and this only one of the awesome moments I had. Seeing as though this is really long, I'll keep it at this. Stay tuned for more Warped moments.

(After I'm done writing all the parts of the review, I'll have a seperate post for my pictures I took)

Being Cold Is Unique + Cool [24 Jul 2006|01:32am]
[ music | Vedera- Safe ]

When I have my own house/apartment, I'm going to hand out parkas at my front door upon guests arrival. Everyone will be to cold and there will be snow and frozen ponds and penguins chillin everywhere.

I'm home alone and I'm turning the A/C down to 69.

There aren't many things better then being cold and cuddling yourself up in 2 or 3 blankets. The world needs to understand that.
